2.96Kviews

In this week’s episode of the podcast, filmmaker Eric Brunt joins me for a very special Remembrance day episode. This episode was very insightful as we talk about Eric Brunt’s upcoming documentary called, “the Last ones standing” and the hundreds of conversations he has had with Canadian WW2 veterans.

The main takeaway of this episode is : Never forget those who fought for our freedom.

💯 Question of the Day:

What is your grandpa’s story?

💻 About Eric Brunt

“While I was attending film school at UBC my Grandfather, Clifford Brunt, passed away. He was a Second World War veteran in the Royal Canadian Air Force. I realized I had no record of his war time experiences. This made me wonder – what other veterans’ stories were out there, never recorded and on the verge of being lost.

In May 2018, I left Victoria, BC, in a small van, with the goal of traveling across Canada to interview and film as many surviving WWII veterans as possible. Over a year later 400 veterans have shared their experiences on camera for me. These interviews will be used in my documentary titled “Last Ones Standing.” It will be released in 2020 for the 75th Anniversary of the end of the war.

Apart from documentary filmmaking I specialize in short films, commercials, corporate videos, music videos, and wedding films.”
