Another Year Has Gone By
Happy New Years! The new year is finally here and that means it is time to reflect on the year that has gone by. A lot can happen in 365 days in regards to challenging situations, memorable moments and turning points. So I am happy to say that 2017 was filled with many wonderful moments that have positively impacted my life.
2017 In One Word
If I had to describe 2017 with one word it would be “progress”. The last year was fantastic and filled with many amazing moments and countless opportunities. I am extremely grateful for the people in my life and the unique developmental experiences that I had over the last year.
In 2017, I had the opportunity to experience many fantastic moments and here are some of the highlights.
- Winning the Sheridan College “Candy Box Marketing Digital Excellence” Award.
- Starting a lifestyle vlog to document my journey.
- Crafting my personal brand and growing my social media following across different platforms.
- Being a finalist for the CAMP “Student Marketer of the Year” award.
- Reading 31 books in 2017 ranging from social media marketing to self-help.
- Attending fantastic marketing conferences such as the Art of Marketing, Coffee with a Guru and the Dx3 Conference.
- Going on a variety of adventures with loved ones such as Ziplining and cave exploring at Blue Mountain.
- Gaining a better understanding of my goals, purpose in life and personal brand.
- Making fitness a priority through rock climbing and healthy eating.
- Growing my lifestyle blog, Living the Canadian Dream with a more refined focus.
- Grinding hard to finish the last semester of my BBA Marketing Degree.
The End Of A Memorable Year
These experiences were just some of the many memorable highlights I had in 2017. I am truly blessed to literally be “living the Canadian dream” by striving towards my goals and living a positive life. So I am excited to be pushing forward into the new year on a positive note and I am looking forward to growing even more as an individual by beginning the next chapter of my journey (as I will be graduating mid-January).
The Start Of Something Great
The new year will definitely be full of new opportunities and challenges but I am truly optimistic about the future. So no matter what happens this year, I am looking forward to investing in my future and creating some memorable moments! Thus, I wish you all a prosperous, healthy and happy 2018!
